The resort town of Gelendzhik will host more than 4,000 athletes from virtually every region of Russia and more than ten other countries for the White Bride Ultra Gelendzhik race.

White Bride Ultra Gelendzhik is a mountain ultramarathon from the Running Heroes Russia team, which will be held for the fifth time in 2026.

Athletes can choose from distances to suit every taste and skill level:

  • Olympus Race is a dynamic 4.2 km course with almost 500 m of elevation gain.
  • Sunset Highway to Rio is A 16-kilometer linear, scenic route to the Rio bulk carrier, which has become a recognizable tourist attraction.
  • L120 is the title course of the race, taking in all the most beautiful natural and architectural monuments.
  • M70, E50, S30*, and C15.
  • Wedding Race costume race.
The signature style and unique features of the White Bride Ultra Gelendzhik race, for which thousands of athletes love it, will remain in 2026 – Fantastic, relatively low mountains a la "Avatar," a huge number of natural and historical attractions, excellent transport accessibility, and a developed resort town infrastructure that suits absolutely any budget.

 

However, we are also preparing many surprises for the anniversary Bride, including Insane Runner and Legendary Runner trophies, a live broadcast, and new race music.

All this will continue the motto of our southern mountain start – Sun, sea, mountains, happiness, love!

* All race finishers on the C15, S30, E50, M70, and L120 distances receive an official ITRA rating.

Participation in the event is permitted:

  • L120, M70, E50, S30, C15, Sunset Highway to Rio, and Wedding Race - 18 years and up;

Participant age is determined by the event date - October 2-4, 2026.


The following are not allowed to participate in the event:

  • Participants without a start number;
  • Participants with someone else's start number;
  • Participants with children in strollers, special backpacks, and other devices for carrying/transporting children;
  • Participants wearing equipment, carrying gear, or carrying objects that may interfere with or cause harm to other participants (including runners with flags on poles);
  • Participants using any mechanical means of transportation.

Re-registration

Re-registration and distance changes are available until 12:00 PM on September 1, 2026, in your participant's personal account for a fee. The cost is 1000 rubles.

When changing the distance at the Expo Event (October 2-3, 2026), the cost will be 1000 rubles.
Distance changes are only possible within the main Sunday distances (up from C15 to M70, down from L120 to C15).

 

Elite Qualification

To qualify for the elite category, a participant must:

  • Register in your personal account on the goldenultra.ru website;
  • Upload supporting documents corresponding to the qualification (results of competitions held after January 1, 2024 are taken into account)

Qualification requirements:

  • PI minimum 700 for men and 575 for women, according to the ITRA index;
  • Prize winners and top 5 finishers at major Russian and international running competitions;
  • Overall winners of all RHR races.

Overall winners at the White Bride Ultra Gelendzhik event in 2024-2025 and elite athletes with a minimum PI of 700 for men and 575 for women, according to the ITRA index, are entitled to a 100% discount. To do this, you need to:

    • Register in your personal account on the website goldenultra.ru;
    • Upload supporting documents corresponding to the qualification.

 

Qualification for Cluster A

  • The athlete or their representative must:
  • register in your personal account on the website goldenultra.ru

Qualification requirements for distance participants:

  • PI minimum 550 for men and 500 for women, in accordance with the index ITRA;
  • Any Running Heroes Russia event - Top 30 men, Top 30 women;
  • Any trail event* (over 100 participants) - Top 10 men overall, Top 10 women;
  • Road distances* - a result of at least Class III (according to the 2022-2025 European Cross-Country Skiing Standard).

*The distance used for qualification must be no more and no less than twice the distance for which the athlete is applying.

The participant's starter pack includes:

  • a starter number with a timing chip;
  • a sticker for the storage locker;
  • gifts from the organizing committee and event partners.

Participant starter packs will be distributed at EXPO 44.56115 38.07652 Central Square (Gelendzhik).

Conditions for receiving a starter pack

To receive a starter pack, participants aged 18 and over are required to provide:

  • original identification document;
  • original medical certificate*;
  • insurance policy.

* A medical certificate and insurance are not required for the Wedding Race distances.

When receiving a starter pack by proxy, the participant's authorized representative must provide*:

  • original identification document;
  • a copy of the participant's identification document;
  • original medical certificate;
  • original power of attorney in the name of the authorized representative persons;
  • insurance contract.

*Bird numbers for the L120 distance are not issued by proxy.

*When receiving a starter pack by proxy, the distance cannot be changed.

Insurance conditions:
Athletes are allowed to participate in the competition with an accident and illness insurance policy.
● the insured amount is not less than 300,000 rubles;
● applies to the date/dates of the race;
● suitable for running/trail running;
● suitable for participation in running/trail running competitions.

Medical certificate:

  • issued by an institution licensed to carry out medical activities;
  • contains the seal of the medical institution, the signature and seal of the physician, the date of issue, and the full name of the participant;
  • confirms that the participant has health groups 1 or 2, or is issued according to the form in Appendix No. 2 to Order No. 1144n of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation dated October 23, 2020 (as amended on September 26, 2023);
  • the certificate must contain permission to run the distance for which the participant is registered.
  • is valid on the day of the race. The certificate is valid for the period specified therein, but no more than 1 year from the date of issue;
  • the provided certificate is not returned upon receipt of the bib number. A photocopy of a medical certificate will only be accepted upon presentation of the original.

  3. The knife must meet the following criteria:
  • must not have an exposed blade in the carried state;

  • wind protection: membrane or dense fabric (windblocker/windstopper);
  • water-repellent treatment;
  • hood.

Recommendations: extended back, tight cuffs, possible built-in ventilation zippers.

  1. In the dark, the participant MUST move along the route of the track with a flashlight on (a mobile phone with a flashlight is not a replacement for a waterproof headlamp);

** Refusal, ignoring verification, failure to follow the instructions of the judge, or unsportsmanlike conduct leads to disqualification!

Please note: the items included in the mandatory equipment list are the basic clothing that every trail runner should choose according to their skills. This means it ensures better safety and efficiency.

At the finish line, the leaders in the overall standings in all distances may be subject to a re-check of mandatory equipment.

 

A participant may be disqualified:

  • Failure to comply with the conditions for completing the route (absence of a track or deviation from the track markings (markings) by more than 100 m, which led to a reduction in the track by 1 km or more);
  • Absence of mandatory equipment (except for water and food);
  • Failure to comply with the requirements of the judge;
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct;
  • In the event of the disqualification of one of the leaders in the overall standings due to the absence of mandatory equipment, leadership passes to the next finisher, who also passes a check of mandatory equipment;
  • In the event that a participant has transferred all or part of the mandatory equipment to another participant (the decision on disqualification is considered by the commission in each case individually).

Mandatory equipment must be present throughout the entire distance. It is possible to check for the presence of mandatory equipment of the athlete on the track in accordance with the distance.

In the “Orders” section of your personal account, you need to click on the order corresponding to the race. The start number will be displayed under the # symbol.

Can I change the distance?

Yes, if the limit of participants has not yet been reached for the distance you need. The change of distance occurs through the athlete's personal account within the time period specified in the race regulations, as well as at the Expo at the “Registration” stand. Changing the distance is a paid process.

Can I transfer my start number?

Yes, of course. Re-registration of the start number from one athlete to another is a paid process in the athlete's personal account within the time period specified in the race regulations. Detailed instructions on re-registering the start number can be found in the relevant topics in our VKontakte group https://vk.com/board88381841.

Can I transfer the start number to the next year or to another RHR race? Is a refund possible?

Unfortunately, no. According to the race regulations, a return or transfer of the number to another race or to another year is not provided, but you can re-register your start number to another athlete. If you still cannot give your number and participate, we can send you a starter package via SDEK at your expense or give it to you at our warehouse in Moscow so that you have something nice to remember us by and our partners for. It can be delivered within 1 month after the start.

How can I change my personal data in my personal account?

How can I register for the start with a discount on the discount?

To complete the discounted registration for the race, we recommend that you upload documents to your athlete's personal account in advance, confirm the discount, before registering for the start. Why am I not on the list of start participants posted on the official website?

The list of race participants is published after the end of the re-registration period for starting numbers - approximately 1 month before the start date. Confirmation of your participation is the display of the order in your personal account with the status “Awaiting start”. If you do not find yourself after the lists have been published, please write to us at info@goldenultra.ru to resolve the issue.

How do I specify a running club in my personal account?

The running club you are a member of is specified in your personal account in the "My details" section. If your club is not displayed in the suggested ones, it is not in our database and to add it, you must send the full name of the club to info@goldenultra.ru. After registering it in our database, it will be possible to indicate it in the athlete's profile.

How can I change the size of the finisher's merch?

You must send an application for changing the size to our email info@goldenultra.ru before the close of re-registration for the race, indicating the email from your personal account, the order number and the size you need to change to.

Will the event tracks be posted before the start?

The current tracks have already been uploaded to the site and they will be changed only in the unlikely event of changes on the track, which we will warn athletes about at a briefing a day before the start.

I have a powerful watch and phone, can I should I not take a powerbank?

The required equipment must be carried with you in full for the corresponding distance. If for some reason the athlete is delayed on the distance (health condition or inability to continue moving or leaving the route), then such means as a powerbank play the most important role.

What principle do you follow when choosing intermediate and control times?

In most cases, the basis is a uniform distribution with the necessary changes in pace on the section, depending on its complexity. At distances, an acceleration of the pace can also be used closer to the end of the distance, which implies a smoother and more comfortable overcoming previous sections

How do I know if I'm ready for a particular distance?

Why are there such qualification requirements for the elite and cluster A?

The qualification requirements are based on the ITRA Performance Index. How to properly hand over the drop-off?

What will the process of starting the waves of participants look like?

For the Elite and cluster A, a separate entrance to the cluster zone (different), the main flow of athletes goes to the common starting corridor. Clusters are separated from each other by ribbons. Athletes go to adventures in waves of 50-100 people with a difference of no more than 60 seconds. The Elite cluster starts first, simultaneously with cluster A (without splitting into additional waves), the mass cluster splits into waves.

Where can I see the elevation difference on sections of the distances?

Can I use the flashlight on my phone instead of a special flashlight?

No, if I need to search for an athlete, the flashlight on my phone is almost invisible in the mountains, as it has a large dispersion of light.

Can I use trekking poles?

Yes, of course. But trekking poles are carried throughout the race (or from/to the drop-off point).

What does wind and moisture-proof jacket mean?

This jacket must continue to provide waterproofing and windproofing of the athlete's body. We do not specifically indicate whether this jacket should have a "membrane" or an oilcloth base. In our calculations, we adhere to the elevation difference indicated by nakarte.me, as the most convenient service for working with. It is worth noting that each software product Connect, Coros, Polar Flow, Suunto, etc. Interpret the elevation differences based on their algorithm and the resources from which they get their data. In other words, the accuracy spread can reach 5-10%.

Is there a mandatory equipment check on the route?

Yes, there is an equipment check on the distances (in several places). Additional information can be found in the event info catalog.

The organizers removed me from the distance and I continued moving, what will happen to me for this?

This is an automatic DSQ with disqualification from participation in the series (at the discretion of the event director). Event services such as food points are no longer available to you, and evacuation may take several times longer (evacuation logistics change over time).

What if I missed the limit at the CP?

Unfortunately, for one reason or another, you did not meet the allotted time, you cannot continue moving along the track, according to the event regulations. At the CP, you will be provided with evacuation to the start/finish town.
