Recommended Gear

** Refusal, ignoring checks, failure to follow a race official's instructions, or unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification!

Please note: The items on the mandatory gear list represent the basic clothing and equipment that every trail runner should select based on their own skills and needs. This ensures greater safety and efficiency.

At the finish line, the leaders of the overall standings may undergo a re-check of their mandatory gear.

A participant may be denied the start or disqualified for violating rules regarding personal gear and mandatory equipment:

  • starting without a race bib;
  • altering the race bib;
  • starting with a bib registered to another person or for a different race distance;
  • using mechanical means of transport;

  • using gear, equipment, or items that could interfere with or harm other participants (including flags on poles, etc.);
  • missing mandatory equipment while on the course (excluding consumable water and food supplies);
  • if an overall leader is disqualified due to missing mandatory equipment, the lead passes to the next finisher, who also undergoes a mandatory gear check;
  • if a participant transfers food, gear, or an item of mandatory equipment to another athlete in need of assistance without documenting evidence that allows for establishing the chain of events for subsequent analysis and decision-making (disqualification decisions are reviewed by the committee on a case-by-case basis);

Note:

- it is recommended to assess the need for assistance

- record the bib number of the participant receiving assistance assistance

- secure witness support if possible

- upon arrival at an aid station or meeting an event official, report the incident and the gear used

- follow further instructions

  • the participant obtained gear or a piece of gear outside designated areas or in prohibited areas;
  • litter marked with the participant's race number was found on the course;
  • the participant failed to use a headlamp/flashlight at night, or the light was turned off;
  • the participant traversed the race route without running shoes;
  • the athlete's race number was improperly attached (e.g., attached to the back, partially obscured). The number must be clearly visible from the front;

Mandatory gear must be carried throughout the entire race. Checks for mandatory gear appropriate to the race distance may be conducted on the course.
